TWO new players have joined Andover New Street.
The club announced two additions to the first team squad with the signings of Alfie Saunders and Ruben Hunt.
Saunders, a Basingstoke lad, gained experience at Under 19 level with Forest Green Rovers. He joins Street from Farnborough Town after the cancellation of his contract.
He has also played at Under 19 level for Aldershot and has gained further experience at a higher level with Hungerford Town, Gosport Borough, and Dorchester Town.
Still in his early 20s, Saunders is comfortable in both defence and midfield. He wore the green and black shirt for the first time on Saturday, September 30, and played a part in the third goal in the victory over Blackfield and Langley.
Hunt has strong connections with the town of Andover and has played a couple of seasons ago for New Street at Under 18 level.
He has also enjoyed a spell at Winchester City, where he made one first-team appearance, before taking a year out of the game last season.
Hunt played for 20 minutes in the recent win at Christchurch and looked very neat and tidy with the ball at his feet.
