Andover New Street recently held its End of Season Awards, with Ross Cook taking home another “hat-trick” - Managers Player of the Season, Supporters Player of the Season and Players Player of the Season.

Sixty goals in some 44 appearances (including substitution appearances) tells its own story, an immensely confident penalty taker and who will forget the two very late goals that ensured the five-four victory over Andover Town.

He is the spearhead of a very good side.

To be named as Players Player of the Year is an achievement always coveted by the recipient. There is no higher praise than being judged by your teammates and Harry Lawton can be rightly proud of the Award.

Thirty-nine appearances, mostly in midfield, with five goals but there were a number of occasions when he slotted into the centre of the defence and looked fully at home.

His midfield partnership with Cameron Thatcher blossomed as the season progressed and promises well for next season at the higher level.

All congratulations to the award winners.
