ANDOVER U16 boys were held for a draw at home by Southampton boys in an exciting game in front of quite a decent crowd last weekend.
Captain Thomas O showed great skills as well as leadership throughout the match, scoring the first home goal 10 mins into the game.
Southampton equalised by the 15th minute, but Peter T went on to score two goals in rapid succession to make it 3-1 in Andover’s favour.
Another away goal kept excitement levels high, with the opposition attacking hard, but the back was held firmly with Alex F, Alex H and Ethan M making a formidable defensive line. Half-time ended with a score of 3-2 to the home team.
The second half was just as quick-paced as Felix J scored for Andover.
But then Southampton took the lead by the 67th minute to a score line of 4-5.
Alfie T was as always in a great position but he was very unlucky not to score at least two more for Andover.
Hari P went on the score an equalising fifth goal.
