ANDOVER Ladies 1s hockey team registered a brilliant 3-0 win against Trojans last weekend.

After an early scare that put Andover goalkeeper Jenny Evans on her toes, the team dominated the first half, with lots of pressure in the opponents' half.

The midfielders worked really hard – Karen Winnett in the middle with Sammy Meredith and Rosie Kavanagh on either side of her.

The ladies went into halftime 1-0 up following a close-range deflection by Chloe Franklin from a cross by Lisa crack.

In the second half, solid Suzie Oostendorp controlled the game at centre-back along with other defenders Sarah Ballantyne, Flora Kidd and Olivia Brown.

Franklin doubled the score with a second deflection past the keeper. With some great runs throughout the game made by Becks Cansdale and Sophia Kidd, Andover were awarded a penalty corner which set up a cracking goal, lobbing the keeper to make it a 3-0 win.

Andover Ladies 2s also got off to a cracking start with some good attacking play and defensive skills against Wimborne.
