A BRACE from Alex Dockree helped Andover Town to their first Wessex Premier League win of the season in a 4-2 victory over Alresford.

The midfielder scored two second half goals, including an equaliser, after Geoff Dunn had put the visitors ahead in the opening 45 minutes.

Dockree's first came shortly after half time when he latched on to a long ball from goalkeeper Jamie Bray and headed over opposition stopper to level the scores.

Town took the lead soon after when Shane Lock was brought down in the Alresford box and Liam Gilbert stepped up to place the penalty into the top corner.

The hosts extended their lead after 75 minutes when Lock played through Dockree for his second, a lovely curling effort past the diving goalkeeper.

Alresford pulled one back when substitute Tom Richards was fouled in the box.

Chris Mason sent Bray the wrong way from the penalty spot to bring the score to 3-2.

However Town sealed the game in the closing minutes when substitute Ben Simpson volleyed home from 20-yards out to earn his side all three points.
