ANDOVER Town have been given a home tie against Wiltshire outfit Royal Wootton Bassett in the extra-preliminary round of the FA Cup.

Town will host the Hellenic Premier League side at the Portway Stadium on Saturday 6 August.

The winner will progress to the preliminary round of the FA Cup with the chance of an away fixture against either Spelthorne Sports from Surrey or Hook based club Hartley Wintney.

Meanwhile Town's Wessex Premier League rivals Whitchurch United will kick off their FA Cup campaign at home to Western League outfit Cribbs FC on Saturday 6 August.

If the Jam Boys progress they face the possibility of an all Wessex League tie against either Moneyfields or Division One side Christchurch.

That game will be held at Longmeadow on Saturday 20 August.

A fortunate United side also secured two possible home ties in the FA Vase.

The Jam Boys will host Wessex League Division One side Laverstock and Ford on Saturday 10 September.

The winner of that match will face Hamworthy United or Amesbury Town, both of the Wessex Premier League, at Longmeadow on Saturday 24 September.

Andover Town have been given a pass into the FA Vase 1st Round Proper and will find out their opponents later this year.

Andover New Street will host Western League side Gillingham Town at Foxcotte Park in their FA Vase opener on Saturday 10 September.

If they win they will book a trip to Western League side Bitton on Saturday 24 September.
