ANDOVER Town Youth FC U13 lifted the U13 league title with a 7-0 win over Oakley Panthers.

Playing their final league game of the season at the Portway Stadium, home of the club’s first team, the youngsters comfortably beat their opponents to secure the Peter Houseman Youth League trophy.

The team went into the game only needing a point but braces from Josh Jeffrey and Brandon Wilkes, a stunning top corner strike from Ryan Presad and a goal each from Sam Swatton and Callum Prempah helped Town win the league at a canter.

The Andover side has run since 2009 and is currently managed by Andy King and Paul Eyles.

Two original players still remain in the team, James Potter and Dan Abbott.

The pair have grown with the club and under the new management are part of a very exciting and gifted team.

A club statement read: “Being the oldest age group in the youth section they really are an inspiration to the younger teams.

“They should be proud of their outstanding achievement having had only one league defeat all season.”
