SAS 27 SWANS 25

SWANS got off to a good start with their shooters putting in a fine display of long shots and making the SAS defence work hard.

Swans took a four-goal lead into the final quarter but SAS seemed to find their form with Sarah Rampton having a fantastic game making some vital interceptions and debutant Corinne King putting in some precise feeds to shooter Jodie Gibson who converted from all over the circle. The fourth quarter revival resulted in a nail-biting conclusion with SAS stealing the victory by just two goals.

Simply Aces 33 Cover Girl Academy 53

A DEPLETED Aces team made a slow start against a well organised Cover Girl side and at the end of the first quarter were five goals down. Aces settled with some good passing and shooting, making a better game of it, winning the final quarter, and so took some points from the game.

However, Cover Girls were deserved winners.

Andover Arrow Y 52 Adventure Blades 42

ARROWS started strongly and led 29-18 at half-time.

However, Adventure Blades pulled the game back during the third quarter for 40- 29. Arrows’ Ella Taylor (GD) and Leoni Pitts (GK) fought tirelessly and a strong finish gave the spectators a great match to watch.

The Globe 29 Simplyhealth 29

THIS was a very evenly contested game and Simplyhealth’s defence of Lauren Webb and Donna Bowsher worked excellently together once again making great interceptions.

Simplyhealth did well to pull the score back with great play by Chelsea Alexander and Emily Webb.

Adventure Sabres 16 Andover Arrows P 52

ARROWS were in determined mode as they took no prisoners from the first whistle. Sabres looked shell shocked as they were chased down and by the last quarter Arrows had little competition as Sabres seemed to give up the chase.
