COLDEN Common were playing down the slope in the first half putting on the early pressure and Stockbridge keeper Dan Kempson made a good save with his legs to prevent them taking the lead.
There was not much to choose between the sides until the Robins were awarded a free-kick just outside the penalty area ten minutes before the break and Jazz Beavis curled the ball into the bottom corner to give his team the lead.
Stockbridge started the second half with purpose and Hamilton went close twice in the first five minutes before Jack Hutchings flicked the ball to Ashley Childs who smashed it home to make it 2-0.
Soon after Common got back in the game when Aiden Reed scored from close in.
Childs and Beavis then saw their shots go just over the bar before a cross from Hamilton found Childs who made it 3-1.
Dave Cotter and Childs were both denied by the home keeper before Common were then handed a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty but Kempson pulled off a fine save from the spot-kick.
This save seemed to spur Stockbridge on and soon after Hutchings made it 4-1.
The Robins were rampant and a ball from Hamilton found Beavis who made it 5-1 and to complete a good day for Stockbridge just before the end Jamie Pollard drove the ball home to make it 6-1.
Stockbridge are at home today against QK Southampton ko 3pm.
