NEW Street should have been two up before Fleet Spurs broke and took the lead when club stalwart Ed Morris got his toe to a Jordan Gibbs free-kick.

New Street continued to play football and press and a Kieron Le Brun free-kick was headed in for the equaliser by Harry Lawton.

The game became stretched and Spurs took the lead again on the half hour mark when a slick move saw Tom Chillery clear on the right and Sam Knowles nodded his pinpoint cross past keeper Tom Smith.

Just before half-time, Knowles doubled Spurs’ lead with a low free-kick which Smith was unable to keep out at the near post.

After the break Street regrouped and went at Fleet Spurs with chances going begging but again it was becoming frustrating.

Fifteen minutes into the second half Harry Burt was sent off for a second booking and Street changed formation and went for it, only to see Fleet Spurs score a fourth from a counter attack through Tom Slane.

New Street never gave up and were rewarded with a second through Redmond Hutchings.
