Danebury Grass Track Racing Club are running their race meeting on Sunday October 12 at Lower Manor Farm, Stockbridge, near Danebury Hill Fort.

Local riders will test their skills against competitors from all parts of the country in more than 40 races, with solos, 500cc and 1000cc sidecars with the first race programmed to start at noon.

Grass track racing is a family orientated motorcycle sport and races take place on a flat grass oval approximately 500m in length and consist of up to12 solo riders and six sidecars and are run from a standing start over four laps.

Grass track racing is fast and unlike motocross, where tracks are purposely designed to keep top speeds down, grass track riders can always enjoy high-speed action. With solos and sidecars reaching speeds of 60mph and more on the straight and having no brakes, an afternoon of fast, exhilarating, highly competitive and enjoyable racing is guaranteed During the day a raffle will take place where the proceeds from this will be presented to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
