Collingbourne v Box CC.

Collingbourne won the toss and chose to field first on a damp looking pitch.

Box made a good start posting 43-0 from the first ten overs before spinner Billy Brett made the breakthrough and claimed 2-30 from his 12 overs.

With Box still going well Charlie Knight had captain Foley trapped in the 32nd over with the score on 117. Owen Sheppard then picked up five of the remaining wickets as they looked to push on, ending with figures of 5-21.

Collingbourne restricted Box to 172-9 when they looked like posting 200 from the start.

In reply they lost Knight early but Paul Gittens and Graham Chandler took them into the 70s from 19 overs before Chandler was run out.

Gittens (41) shortly followed as did captain Ian Kiy then Sheppard and Archie Scott tried to rebuild and push on especially as rain started to fall before Sheppard was bowled at the start of what turned out to be a hat-trick for captain Foley. With the score on 100 Scott was out exposing the tail but Brett and Jacob Marsh batted sensibly and ran well to take Collingbourne beyond the 125 mark before the last two wickets fell ending the innings on 128 all out.

Collingbourne II v Box CC II.

Collingbourne II lost the toss and were asked to bat on a drying pitch and posted 167-8 with Shankar Alva recording his first league 50 for the club.

In reply Box batsman David Kelly survived an early caught behind appeal to post an unbeaten 66 helping them to an eight wicket victory as they reached the required total in 42.3 overs.
