Cadnam v Amport.

Amport extended their recent winning run to four with a 90 run victory over Cadnam.

Losing the toss and being asked to bat on a green and uneven pitch, with rain on the horizon, it looked like it would be a bad day for the village side.

Both openers struggled and Amport were soon in trouble at 37-3. Ian Langdown and Ant Gillard however, started to make batting look much easier and the scoreboard started to tick over.

The powerful middle order put on 70 in the next ten overs, with some big sixes from Langdown. Ade Holwell yet again showed his experience, steering an inexperienced lower order and getting Amport to a defendable 150. Rory Chetwyn-Talbot and Leighton Bone had grander ideas, getting them to 176 before Bone lifted Cadnam's opening and overseas bowler high into the New Forest with the biggest six of the day.

In reply, the bowlers we in no mood to be outshone by the batters and with Dean Woodhouse leading the way with an incredible 5-36 from his ten, including five overs 4-5.

Holwell rolled back the years taking two great catches in the slips and returning 2-27 and Leighton Bone with 2-11 and Chetwyn-Talbot 1-11 finished the tail as Amport ran out easy winners by 90 runs.
