Stockbridge rider Leon Morris leads the Ducati Trioptions Cup after the first two races of the season at the 1.207 mile Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent over the Easter weekend.

After the first free practice Morris was in fifth place, however in the qualifying session in dry sunny conditions he moved up to third with a time of 48.847, and only 0.1 second behind the pole sitter.

Race one of the weekend was run in the wet however this did not deter Morris who, on his Carl Cox Motorsport/P&H Motorcycles Ducati completed the 15 lap race in 14:55 mins nearly a second head of pole sitter and second place man Dennis Hobbs.

It was back to warm sunny weather for race two which saw a faster pace and this time Leon finished in second place 1.536 seconds behind the race winner Rob Guiver, Morris' time for race two was 12.23 mins.

The second round of the championship takes place at Donington Park at the end of May as one of the support races to the only UK round of this year’s World Superbike championship, a round in which Leon had a sixth place finish last year.
