A MAN from Andover has been hit with penalty points for taking to the roads without any valid insurance.
On Tuesday, January 2, John Morton, of Quicksilver Crescent, drove a Mercedes on Sheep Fair without any insurance.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 19, the 43-year-old pleaded guilty to the driving offence.
Magistrates endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points and ordered a fine of £120 to be paid.
A victim surcharge fee of £48 must also be paid.
