WRAPS of suspected Class A drugs and cash have been seized from a vehicle in Andover.

Officers from Andover’s District Policing Team stopped a vehicle in Newbury Road at around 10.20pm on Wednesday, February 28.

They found wraps of suspected Class A drugs during a search of the vehicle. A quantity of cash was also found and seized.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Tackling drug-related harm is a priority for us. We’d encourage people to please continue to report suspicious behaviour and suspected drug dealing where you live, as the information you provide helps us to develop the bigger picture so we can take action."

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Andover, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a drug of Class A.

He has since been released on police bail with conditions until Tuesday, May 28 while further enquiries are made.
