WITH more than three decades of experience in the music business, a talented artiste will perform near Andover next month.

David Harrild will be playing at WEOS's next concert on Thursday, July 20, which heralds the beginning of the club's 22nd year, having staged concerts every month since July 2002, apart from during the Covid pandemic recess.

David, from Ipswich, has over 35 years in the industry and has entertained audiences throughout the UK and Europe, creating a wealth of refreshing sounds and amazing live music with his ‘One Man Band/Orchestra’.

Encouraged by his parents, he received tuition as a young boy but after just one year he decided to throw away the teaching books and play by ear. This ability enables him to choose his material, listen to it once or twice and then play it.

He progressed to performing semi-professionally at the age of fifteen, backing cabaret artistes with a seven-keyboard set-up. His wide experience has served him well as he is also the manager of a large music showroom in Bromley, with another branch in Romford.

The concert begins at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm). Tickets cost £6 and are available at the door.
