An Andover road which was closed following a building fire last week will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
As previously reported by The Advertiser, firefighters were called to the former Anton Laundry building, in Marlborough Street, at around 3pm on Saturday, May 27.
Crews from Andover, St Mary's and Dorset and Wiltshire battled the fire for close to three hours.
Following the fire, Marlborough Street has been closed, with work underway to make the derelict building and surrounding site safe.

Residents expressed concern about the condition the building has been left in, appealing to Test Valley Borough Council for the site to be blocked off to deter anyone from entering and risking getting hurt.
The Advertiser understands Marlborough Street will remain closed until some form of structure has been put in place to support the building.
However, an update on this could not be provided as the proposed supporting structure will have to be signed off by a structural engineer before the road can be reopened safely for residents.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. It is not the first time that the building has been affected by a fire, as in 2015 and 2009 it was targeted in arson attacks.
Crews from Andover, St Mary’s and Dorset and Wiltshire were called to the incident on May 27.
The Advertiser has contacted Test Valley Borough Council and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Rescue Service but has yet to receive a reply.
