ANDOVER Chamber Choir’s most recent concert raised over £1,000 for the Andover branch of Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

The choir’s most recent concert and the first of 2023 took place at St Michael's and All Angels, in Colebrook Way, on April 1.

It featured a selection of beautiful music and appropriate readings associated with the Easter Story.

After the choir’s expenses, very good ticket and programme sales, together with a retiring collection, allowed the group to present a cheque for just over £1,000 to the charity.

The cheque was handed over by choir chair Bruce Randall to Alex Hanbury-Williams, chair of Andover RDA.

The choir’s next concert A Song for all Seasons includes a selection of Part songs and folk songs and will take place at Church of All Saints, Upper Clatford, on Saturday, July 16 at 7.30pm.

For future concerts, the choir are interested in hearing from local charities who would like some support.

The chairman can be contacted via the contact page on the choir’s website at andoverchamberchoir.org.uk.
