A DANEGELD Close man who was found in possession of more than 1,000 "extreme pornographic" images depicting bestiality has avoided jail.
Steven John Sutton was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for 24 months, when he appeared in Winchester Crown Court last week.
The 39-year-old admitted to being in possession of 1,046 "extreme pornographic" images - 1,032 still and 14 moving images - portraying adults performing sexual acts with a variety of different animals between September 5 and September 25 last year.
Sutton also admitted to possessing three indecent moving images of children and one indecent still image of a child.
In addition to the suspended sentence, Sutton was also ordered to take part in a rehabilitation activity, complete 40 hours of unpaid work in the community and pay a victim surcharge of £100 and £350 Crown Prosecution costs.
He was also ordered to forfeit the pornographic images and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
