AN ANDOVER man has been disqualified from driving for up to 21 months after being caught over the alcohol limit and failing to stop for the police.
Shaun Wilson, of Tollhouse Close, Andover, pleaded guilty to both counts at a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.
The 21-year-old also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention after being stopped by police on Plantation Road on Sunday 25 October.
Wilson, who was driving a Ford Fiesta at the time, was caught with 58 micro grams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over 20 mico grams over the legal limit.
He was fined £300 and disqualified from driving for 21 months.
However his disqualification can be reduced by 147 days if he completes a course, which could cost him up to £250.
Wilson was also ordered to pay a criminal court charge of £150, Crown Prosecution costs of £50 and a victim surcharge of £30.
