AN ANDOVER motorcyclists has died following a collision on a rural road near Cottonworth last night.
The man, who has not yet been formally identified, is said to have died at the scene of the accident last night, which took place around 9 o'clock.
He was riding a Yamaha R6 motorbike on the Romsey Road when he suffered a collision with a Citroen Berlingo travelling southbound towards Romsey.
The driver of the Berlingo, a 42-year-old man from North Baddesley, was said to be very shocked by the incident but uninjured.
Police say that the victim's next-of-kin are overseas, and it may take some time for him to be formally named.
Police also say they have spoken to a number of witnesses at the scene, but are very keen to hear from anyone else who saw this collision.
Anyone who did is urged to call 101 and ask for the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting Operation Fork.
