DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a nasty robbery on Saturday.
The victim, a 44-year-old man, was walking down the stairs between 5am and 5.30am on Saturday, July 4 near Morrisons in South Ham.
He sustained a blow to the head causing him to fall down. The offenders, two men, then removed his Blackberry mobile phone from his pocket before running off in the direction of George Street.
The offenders were described as white, of slim build, about 5ft 7ins tall and in their 20s.
Detective Constable Jonathan Duggan from the Northern Investigation Team said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men in the area at the time.
“I’m also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered a Blackberry mobile phone for sale.”
