MOBILITY scooter users and people with pushchairs are being hampered as shoppers continue to abandon trolleys in a popular Andover footpath.
During one of their regular checks on local footpaths, the Alamein Focus team discovered the supermarket trolleys along the footpath between Smannell Road and Augustus Walk.
The pathway has become a bit of a dumping ground according to Alamein Focus team member Len Gates, who says that the actions of the people abandoning the trolleys is having a knock-on effect to those using the pathway with mobility scooters and prams/pushchairs.
“As someone who regularly uses the footpath I was concerned by the number of them there, and that someone hasn’t moved them,” he said.
“It seems to be a regular issue in that area.”
The trolleys have been reported to Test Valley Environmental Services.
