A POST Office will soon be open seven days a week.

King Arthurs Way Post Office in Andover will be closed for two days later this month for refurbishment, followed by major changes to the way it operates.

The office will be shut from 5.30pm on Wednesday, 27 August until Friday, 29 August – although the McColls retail store will stay open.

The new service will be launched on 29 August at 1pm and will be provided at a combination counter in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit beside the till. The Post Office service will then be available during the store’s opening hours, Monday to Saturday, 6am to 10:30pm and Sunday 7am to 10pm. This will be an extra 63 hours a week.

Customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

Other services include Post Office Card Account withdrawals, sending funds abroad using Moneygram and customers can pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

Mark Jacobs, Post Office area manager said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Andover and we are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.”
